SUMMER TREKKING CAMP FOR STUDENTS...MANALI & MOUNT ABU

સાહસ ખીલવવા એડવેન્ચર ટ્રેકિંગ કેમ્પીંગ 












ટ્રેકિંગ ને કારણે આજના બાળકોમાં શિસ્ત અને સંયમ જેવા ગુણોનો આવિર્ભાવ થાય છે કે જેનાથી આજે તેઓ મહંદ અંશે વંચિત રહ્યા છે. સાહસિક વૃતિ ખીલવવા માટે ટ્રેકિંગ ઘણીજ સારી પ્રવૃત્તિ છે. રજાઓ દરમિયાન ટીવી, મોબાઈલ અને ઈન્ટરનેટ ના દૂષણોથી દૂર રાખવા માટે કુદરતને ખોળે બાળકોને મોકલવા એ સારી વાત છે. આધુનિક ભણતરનો બોજ અને કોન્ક્રીટના જંગલોથી દુર રહેવા ઉનાળા કે દિવાળીની રજાઓ દરમિયાન ફેમીલી કે ફ્રેન્ડ સર્કલ સાથે બાળકો કુદરતી નૈસર્ગિક વાતાવરણ પામવા સમર ટ્રેકિંગ કેમ્પીન્ગને લોકોએ એક સારો પર્યાય બનાવી દીધો છે. કેમ્પ દરમિયાન બાળકોમાં રહેલી કેટલીક વિશેષ આંતરિક શક્તિઓ ખીલે છે ને મિત્રો સાથે હોવાથી શેરીંગ - કેરીંગ ની ભાવના વધુ પ્રબળ બને છે. વેધર ચેન્જ, ખાવા પીવામાં પડતી મુશ્કેલીઓ, વ્યવસ્થામાં પડતી મુશ્કેલીઓ વગેરેને કારણે હળીમળીને રહેવાની પ્રેરણામાં પણ વધારો થાય છે. વિવિધ કેમ્પમાં અનુકૂળતા એ કરાવાતી સાહસિક અને રમત ગમતની પ્રવૃતિઓ જેવી કે રોક ક્લાઈમિંગ , રેપલીંગ, રીવર ક્રોસિંગ, બર્મા બ્રીજ, બામ્બુ બ્રીજ, હોર્સ રાઈડીંગ, નાઈટ ટ્રેક, બર્ડ વોચીંગ, કમાન્ડો નેટ, જંગલ ટ્રેક, કેમ્પ ફાયર વગેરેને કારણે બાળકોને પોતાની અંદર રહેલી સુષુપ્ત અલભ્ય શક્તિનો ખ્યાલ આવતા જ તેઓમાં આત્મ વિશ્વાસ વધે છે. આ દરેક પ્રવૃતિઓ એવી હોય છે કે ક્યારેય પણ જીવનમાં સંકટ સમયે ઉપયોગી બનતી હોય છે. આ ઉપરાંત  શહેરના ફાસ્ટ ફૂડ અને જંક ફૂડથી દૂર રહીને બાળકોને પારંપારિક શુદ્ધ, આરોગ્યપ્રદ આહાર આરોગવાની તક મળે છે. કેમ્પના એક મોટા ફાયદા તરીકે બાળકો એકબીજાની સાથે વૈચારિક આપ-લે  અને જુદા જુદા રાજ્યોની સંસ્કૃતિઓનું આદાન - પ્રદાન કરે છે જેથી તેઓમાં સમભાવના પણ જાગતી હોય છે.
ટીપ્સ : કેમ્પ દરમિયાન વાતાવરણને અનુરૂપ કપડાં એટલે કે ઠંડા પ્રદેશમાં જવાનું હોય તો ગરમ જેકેટ, સ્વેટર, થર્મલ, ટ્રેક પેન્ટ, હાથ પગના ગરમ મોજા સાથે સારી ગ્રીપવાળા શૂઝ, સ્લીપર, જરૂરી દવાઓ, ટોઇલેટ કીટ, ટોવેલ - નેપકીન, ટોર્ચ (એક્સ્ટ્રા સેલ સાથે), પાણીની બોટલ, હળવો નાસ્તો, ડ્રાય ફ્રુટ, ચોકલેટ્સ, ગ્લુકોઝ પાઉડર સાથે લઇ જવાનો આગ્રહ રાખો.

The fort & town of JAISALMER was founded by Maharawal Jaisal in the year 1156 AD after having shifted his capital from Ludharva (18 Kms away from Jaisalmer) to a safer place. The ruling family of the erstwhile Jaisalmer State belongs to Bhati Clan of Yadu Rajputs of Chandrawasnshi (Lunar) race who claim descent from Lord Krishna,the defied hero who ruled at Dwarka. The historical origin of Bhatis can be inferred from the couplet which says that the Yadu Rajputs ruled and constructed Forts at Kashi,Mathura, Pragvad, Gajni, Bhatner, Digam, Dirwal, Lodurva and ninth in Jaisalmer. (Gajni is in Afghanistan and Dirawal is now in Pakistan). This district has got a very important place on The international tourist map. Popularly known as the “Golden City”, it has the following attraction of the tourist importance.

  • Mandir Palace (Tazia Tower).

Program Schedule:-
 
Day 1: Reporting at base camp
Day 2: Visit city, after lunch transfer by bus to Damodara Resort (25 KM) then Trek to Kharara Camp (3 KM)
Day 3: Trek to Sam Sand Dunes (14KM)
Day 4: Camel Safari upto Beeda Fanta (10KM)
           Then Trek to Sudasari (5KM)
Day 5: Trek To Barana (12 KM)
Day 6: Transfer by bus to basecamp, Jaisalmer (40 KM/)
            Group break after Lunch
Minimum age to participate in this expedition is 10 Years. The age restriction will be strictly followed. 

NOTE:-    Foreigners are not allowed in this trek.  
 
How to reach: Base Camp for the programme is established in the border home guards ground, Jaisalmer, 2 kms.from bus stand and 4 km from railway station. Jaisalmer is connected by train service with Delhi, Hawarah, Jaipur,Jodhpur,Bikaner. It is also connected by road with Delhi, Ahmedbad, Kucch, Pune, Mumbai, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Jaipur, Ajmer & Udaipur. Nearest airport is Jodhpur.

CANCELLATION RULES: In case you are unable to join the camp and wish to cancel your participation, Your application must reach the concern offices, before 28th  Oct. 2015. In this case you will get 50% refund i.e Rs.2000/- after completion of programme. If such notice received after  28th Oct. 2015 No refund will be given.
 
What to bring: Rucksack (if you have) cotton shirts.cottan paints,wollen jersey,wollen muffler or monkey cap, hunter shoes, torch with spare batteries, water bottle, lunch box,mug,glass, plate, spoon, water purifying tablets, pen- Knife, Needle,thread,spare buttons, goggles, cold cream or Vaseline, soap,toilet-paper,towel, medicines which you normally use.
 
Safety & Security: Exclusive and painstaking preparations have gone into the planning of trekking expedition route of your safety. our field staff and experienced camp leaders have visited the area to check all details. While every care has been taken to ensure safety, the youth hostel association of India or its Rajasthan state branch will not be responsible for any accident, illness and such other unforeseen eventualities.

BREIF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM:   Goa - the land of silvery sands, golden sun and the exciting Western Ghats - is the destination for enthusiastic trekkers, sailors, bikers and families to connect with Mother Nature through expeditions organised by Goa State Branch of YHAI in collaboration with Sports Authority of Goa and Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs. The participants will enjoy a splendid panorama of hills, sandy beaches, refreshing waterfalls, beautiful landscapes, breath taking groves of palm trees, sun kissed waterways, Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary and Dudhsagar falls. The hilly trek of Western Ghats provides trekking trails as steep and difficult as the Himalayan climbs. The trekking route will therefore, offer the same thrills and excitement as in any mountain with some additional attractions like bus ride, and rail journey in the Western Ghats.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE: Any member of the Association who is physically fit can join the programme. The minimum age for participation is 10.
HOW TO JOIN: Members desirous of joining the programme may apply on a prescribed Registration Form duly supported by a Medical Certificate, which is attached with the form. Photocopies of the forms are acceptable. The minimum age for participation is 10. Form should be sent along with draft of participation fee ie Rs.3800/- per member in favor of "National Trekking Expedition - Goa" payable at Panaji, Goa. Member may also register through online booking

WHAT PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BRING ALONG: Rucksack (if you have one) cotton shirts, cotton pants, sun cap, Hunter shoes, 2 pairs of cotton socks, torch, water bottle, lunch box, steel mug, plate, spoon, pen-knife, needle, thread, goggles, Dettol, coconut oil,  soap, toilet paper, towel, medicines (which you normally use at home).
HOW TO REACH THE BASE CAMP: The base camp is located at Sports Authority Ground, Near Miramar Beach, Panaji Goa. The nearest railway stations are Thivim (25Kms), Karmali (12 km) and Margao (33km.). State bus service is available. Direct bus service is also available from Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore & Mangalore. Direct trains are available from Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and major cities of India.
REPORTING DATES
From 15 Dec 2015 to 03 Jan 2016. There will be 20 batches of 50 participants, for the entire program.

DAY 1: Report at base camp-Sport Authority Ground, Campal, Panaji.
DAY 2: Rock Climbing & Rappelling, Acclimatization, Orientation
DAY 3: Mobor Beach to Benaulim Beach [12 kms] (Base Camp to Mobor by bus)
DAY 4: Benaulim to Velsao Beach ( 10 kms)
DAY 5: Collem to Dudhsagar ( 10 kms) (Velsao to Collem by train)
DAY 6: Dudhsagar to Caranzol (12 kms) (Via Dudhsagar waterfalls)
DAY 7: Caranzol to Nandran (14 kms)
DAY 8: Nandran to Tambdi Surla (15 kms) to base camp by bus.
DAY 9: Check out after breakfast
